Toyota Celica to be a star at the end of the mat Goodwood Festival of Speed 2011 by being the fastest of the more than 200 other cars. Running up the hill along the 1.86 km was completed within 48.07 seconds.
2011 Goodwood Festival of Speed takes place in England last weekend (July 30-July 3). In this annual event, hundreds of High Performance cars shine. They appear with all the benefits to show who's the best. There are many events throughout the event. But the centerpiece is a race to the top of the hill at Goodwood.
In that race, Toyota Celica could bloat Maserati MC12 (50.99 seconds), Lotus Cosworth 88B (51.84 seconds) and the Brabham BT42 Cosworth (52.03 seconds). Another car hill climb competition that includes Aston Martin V12 Zagato (62.30 seconds), Nissan Leaf NISMO (71.85 seconds) and the ROC Tesla Roadster Sport (58.77 seconds).
The winner, Toyota Celica piloted and created by Jonny Milner, who was a champion rally. He beat a lot of the world's top riders, including former Formula One Racing World Champion, Lewis Hamilton.
Milner managed to gain 800HP from the old machine used by the Corolla WRC (World Rally Championship). This engine is paired with a supercharger to produce maximum horsepower at lap down. And assisted NOS for reducing the effect of turbo lag. Milner also cut the weight of 1050 kg and a Celica so optimizing weight distribution by moving the position of the driver's seat to the back. Changes to the wheels and suspension system makes the car more tightly to the surface of the track.
Soft rallycross specification tires from Michelin also contribute greatly to the ability to change the power giant motion.
