Koenigsegg hypercar manufacturer from Sweden perform various repairs on superfast flagship car, the Agera R. Koenigsegg are now preparing to test the upper limit of the speed of his car.
An estimated 1,140 bhp-powered car to break the 440 km / h. And
when that happens, then this car was captured in the title of world's
fastest production car from the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport hands.
Current
crown holder of the fastest production cars on earth still held by the
Bugatti Veyron when the car is running up to 431 km / h. However, Koenigsegg Bugatti would not hold the record was too long.
Any repairs they do on Koenigsegg Agera R 2013 model year they just showed at the Geneva Motor Show.Personnel who previously were 1,115 bhp figures are now already in the up-grade to 1,140 bhp with E85 ethanol fuel. The engine speed limit was increased from 7,250 rpm to 7,500 rpm.
Koenigsegg
new concoction is expected to be able to carry off the Agera R up to
speed 440 km / h and seize the crown of world's fastest production car
ever held, but is now in the hands of Bugatti.
Besides
the engine, Koenigsegg one of the main focus this time is on the legs
where the rim of the car now uses a lightweight carbon fiber material
and are developed with Aircore technology.
Koenigsegg claims that with this new rims, the car's total weight can be trimmed up to 20 kg. That is, the load per wheel that is in this car will be lighter 5 kg. Moreover, a new exhaust fitted on this car is also claimed to be lighter and able to improve the performance.
Besides those two things, many more improvements made to the car Koenigsegg anyarnya.
Even
some of the technologies implemented in the car is relatively new in
the automotive world one of them is the application of nano materials in
the cylinder which is claimed to reduce friction, which in turn will
reduce fuel consumption and provide more power perfect treat.
This
sector is considered important because, according to research by
Koenigsegg there are about 6-9 percent of energy is lost when there is
friction in the piston and cylinder. The
use of nano materials is said to reduce the friction of 30-50 percent,
which in turn enhance the performance of engines between 1.8 to 4.5
percent.
